Do you want to hang out Friday or Saturday? Vernon leaves for ComiCon and I will be all on my lonesome! :(

Have you posted on ucsb about needing a place for fall/winter quarter(s)?

sure i'd love that! actually "hot fuzz" is showing friday night, so we could go see that if you haven't seen it yet or want to see it again. (i've seen it already.) if not, we can do whatever. i was actually thinking of maybe going hiking this weekend...maybe...

no i haven't. i figure that anyone who has a place would put it on facebook marketplace, craigslist, uloop, the eap housing board, or the community housing website.

I haven't seen Hot Fuzz yet!! Vernon will be so jealous! :D How much will it be and where is it playing?

I thought you might like this: http://www.sbbg.org. The SB Botanical Garden! It's $6 for students, whee! Would you be interested in visiting it with me?

You should post on lj about needing housing -- someone might just be prowling around for ads about people needing a place plus a roommate. I'd also post on craigslist, though I would vow to go with you to meet anyone who replied to you on cl.

i'd love to go to the botanical garden! i've seen commercials for it and apparently it's full of butterflies this time of the year! yay!

Yeah, but at least in Alaska you can be relatively well-assured that you're not going to die, after global warming hits the rest of the world -- unless it floods. Ooops. Oh, and it's daylight for MANY MANY hours during the summer and nighttime for MANY MANY hours during the summer. I've realized I couldn't handle that personally, considering how England (England!!) threw me for a loop.

i've thought about the weird hours. i think eventually i'd get used to it. if nothing else, it'd be cool just to be able to say that i tried it.

i thought transformers would be a lot better. shia labeouf was probably the best part of it, actually. i actually did go out to eat with my parents after the movie. i could only open my mouth a certain amount before it hurt. :(

i looked up alaska weather and it said the highest it gets is in the 70's in the summer. to be honest, i don't know if i could handle a really rough winter. san fran would be my first choice to live, but damn it's expensive. alaska is much cheaper.

that would be cool if we lived near each other. :)
