You do realize that I read 4 Marcus/Esca fics BEFORE I'd even seen the movie or read The Eagle? And you see the state that I'm in now. *sigh*

LMAO, seriously? Actually, I did NOT know that! I know you've been obsessively reading them, but I figured you'd at least read the book already! Haha, that's awesome! You crack me up :D

Of course, that being said, I DID actually read a couple of Merlin fics before I ever watched the show. But then I was afraid of spoilers so I stopped, haha! ;) But yeah, point being -- it's not a completely foreign idea, for sure. I just can't get obsessed with a ship unless I've already been convinced of it first, you know? :)

The M/E fics I'd read beforehand were all written by planejane, a friend from Merlin fandom whose writing I love so much that I'd read whatever fandom she wrote it. After reading her fics, I got curious and started reading the book, then watched the movie (at her house, actually). AND I STILL haven't seen all of the Merlin episodes, if you can believe that ;) So yeah, I can get down on reading something new and different, even if I don't know much about it. Hit the ground running, you know? Hee :)

Dude, I know who planejane is *grins* :D And yes, I agree that her writing is absolutely spectacular, so I don't blame you!

I can't usually connect with fanfic unless I've first connected with the show and the characters (or, uh, in this case, the people), but I do get it!

Well, I have no issues with sucking you into my world of crazy. Though, speaking of... I'm going to really need someone to help me focus this week on writing my RPF BB, because I haven't even thought about it in, like, a couple of weeks. I NEED HELP TO FOCUS! ;) I've already written another 1,200 words of a new Jeff/Chip fic, instead of what I should be writing, haha! :)
