where sirius returns from the veil; also, a chicken
Okay, this has been bugging me for ages:
It's a fic (a one-shot) where things start turning up on people's doorsteps, things that are supposed to be missing, people/animals that are supposed to be dead. It's like the veil is spitting them out. Remus is married to Tonks, but there's drama there and they're not happy? Anyway, I remember quite clearly that a chicken shows up on Remus' doorstep, apparently Lily used to own it.
And then of course, Sirius shows up :)
