(first punch) ah, hawthorn wands

[Before supper one evening, Touma stands at the front of an empty classroom, small items such as books, still photographs, quills, and bits and pieces from his potion-making kit on the tables.]

Accio spine of lionfish!

[The small container jerks slightly, but doesn't come to him. His subsequent attempts barely get the container across the table.

[Espio is lost. Completely lost. And there's nobody in the corridors to ask for directions from, which is annoying. So naturally, when he hears a voice, he starts going towards it in the hope of somehow extracting directions without admitting he needs them. As he walks towards the open door, however...]

Ow! What the -?!

[Yep, an object has just hit him in the head. And no, he's not happy about it. Clutching the photo in one hand, he stomps right over to the door and slams it further open with a crash.]

What do you think you're doing?!

[youngnobelman]

[As soon as he heard someone say "ow", Touma was headed to the door to apologize, but the door gets him in the face.]

... Practising Charms. [He indicates the photo.] My apologies.

[His wand is low, but pointed at his nose as he tries to remember a spell to stop bleeding.]

You're not doing a very good job of it!

[He somewhat carelessly tosses the photograph back to Touma.]

I'm well awa-- [Touma dives to catch the photo. Why would you throw his dog photo!]

[There's something Ash is awesome at doing-- he's awesome at getting hideously lost. Which is how he stumbled upon Touma trying to summon things.]

What're ya trying to do there?

Summoning Charm. [He goes to retrieve his photo, with a sigh.] As you can see, it's not going well.

Well uh... it looks like it moved a little? [Very little, but still better than Ash can do. ]

[youngnobelman]

[That's very kind of you, Ash.] It moved in the right direction for a Banishing Charm, but the wrong way for Summoning.
