I bought myself a Hallmark card over the weekend.

I'd gone into the store to find a birthday card for my Oldest Bestest, and found that Hallmark has expanded it's selection to include a collection called "Pop Goes The Culture."

You know I had to look, right?

Basically, on the covers of these cards are quotes from television shows, movies, and all around famous people. An example: The one I got my friend featured these words from Gray's Anatomy; "We're Adults. When did that happen? And how do we make it stop?" Not originally intended to be a card for a birthday, but I thought it fitting.

Once I'd picked hers out, I looked through the rest of them, as is my habit with new collections of interest at the Hallmark store. Most of them were fairly clever, but one in particular caught my eye. It contained my particular favorite quote from the US edition of The Office.

I had to have it.

This morning, armed with the card and a Rocky Horror Picture Show magnet, I redecorated my locker at work. Now, every time I open it, I read these inspiring words...

Right now, this is a job.
If I advance any further, this would be my career,
and if this were my career,
I'd have to throw myself in front of a train.

Bless you, Jim Halpert.
