what I am learning from this week: if you challenge yourself to post fic-related things every day, you will be busy every day. asjdklsd it's ridiculous. also, all your nearly completed WIPs (or so you think) will grow several extra scenes and still not be any closer to finished. so, er, cheating again - here's a snippet I wrote for
wintersjuly in comments back when those rumors about
Pin possibly having an apartment together surfaced. (the whole article is - somewhere else, I can't lay hands on the scan at the minute. never did translate it either, ahahaha.) not locked, for once, because this is firmly staying a drabble! AMAZING, I KNOW.
Yamapi wasn't there yet, but Ryo was waiting when Jin arrived at the movie theater, leaning against a wall and slapping a rolled-up newspaper against his open palm. When he saw Jin approaching, a shark-like grin spread across his face. "Hey, Akanishi," he said, "what's this I hear about you shacking up with Yamapi?"
Jin stared at him blankly. "Huh?"
Before Ryo could answer, a large weight suddenly threw itself on Jin's back and he stumbled backward with a yelp. "Dry your tears, Yamapi’s here!" a voice crowed in his ear.
"Help! I'm dying!" Jin yelped, clawing at the arms around his neck. "Save me!"
"Ha ha ha," cackled Yamapi. "They’ll never find your body! Revenge will be mine!"
Lightning fast, Ryo leaned over and smacked them each over the head with the newspaper. "Stop acting like kids in public," he said, and then smirked. "You won’t look responsible enough to be living alone."
Yamapi loosened his grip and slid off Jin’s back. "What?"
Ryo unrolled the paper with a flourish and indicated one of the headlines near the top. KAT-TUN’S AKANISHI JIN AND NEWS’ YAMAPI, it blared. TOGETHER UNDER ONE ROOF? THE "JOHNNYS' PAD"!
He snorted. "As if anyone in their right mind would let you two out on your own together, you'd probably burn down the entire complex - "
He stopped.
Jin looked at Yamapi. Yamapi looked at Jin. They grinned at each other.
" - Well, fuck," said Ryo.
