The Beautiful South’s Root of All Evil is actually about poundsterling/euro issue, but somehow I’m listening to it again in these days of economic crisis hitting the Wall Street and spreading its wave to almost the whole world: ‘We’ll be eating frogs and modelling clogs, and you’ll be haunting French and Dutch with a hound.’
I’m really sorry for the mothers of the American soldiers. Your sons died, or are dying, not for democracy, not for justice, security and all that shit - your sons are sacrificed for the greedy lot who are now bringing the world down.
The mothership of greedy dreams has crushed; the bastion of the neoliberalists have fallen. Our ‘Hurrah!’ and ‘Served you well!’ might be short-lived as our stock exchanges and banks rumble down like dominoes.
Well, thank you America (some people here may try to be politically correct and say “No, you mean the Bush administration”) - thank you for refusing to sign the Kyoto Protocol, for sucking our natural resources like vampires, for your so-called war on terrorism, and now for the economic crisis - which you caused yourself with your heavy-cost war.
I’m waiting for your next gift to the world - who knows, should a gigantic asteroid come across our orbit, it turns out that the White House has a special gravity that pulls it down to Earth. The end of the pitiful species called the human race! God’s sixth day work to waste!
