‘Draw to express, not to impress’

I went to vanessa-kudu’s house and spent time there with her and Tc-chan (Kudu and Tc are two other members of Omoikane). Kudu’s house witness the birth of Kami Semua Lucu (KLS): a subsidiary of Omoikane focusing on making comics about Damar, Kubo, and Saeki. (Sorry about the shitty name, LOL.)

OK, OK, we were supposed to work on our NASTEA MIX project. We did; Kudu even managed to finish sketching her allocated lot (shit, she made fantastic gags of STREGA and Polydeuces!); I finished sketching about 4.5 pages; Tc also finished some.

But we were also having fun with a sort of comic-making relay race. For instance, Kudu drew several panels, threw the paper at me, and I’d pick up where she left, then I returned the comic to her, she drew again, and so on. We might not look what the other was doing; it was a challenge to continue the story. The Kubo/Saeki combo has turned into a smut; Damar/Kubo has just reached the third page and it’s fantastic (example on the right! Can you tell which is Kudu’s art and which is mine? Hers is incredible!); Damar/Saeki has left Damar with a minimal HP (“He’s going to have a Limit Break!” Tc laughed outloud.)

All in all, it was a great day; we were being very creative and productive. Kudu suggested us have a day like today regularly, since it spurs our artistry. I think that a day like today would be a great remedy for artist’s block! Can’t wait to have another relay race XD
