Sajama Cut. Eclipse Harmony. Dancing in the Echoes.

Yes *points to song*. Sajama Cut, Mari Bunuh Diri (‘Let’s Commit a Suicide’.) A song that, if only in English, wouldn’t make it in the US *grins* It’s from SC’s debut album, Apologia. I went to Blitz Megaplex with my brother to check whether his band’s songs are on sale already (see below), and I found that the digital music store also sold Apologia. I bought only three songs, because the whole album sounds too dark to… er, enjoy. (The Osaka Journals is a lot less darker.) The other two songs that I bought were Terdampar and Satu Loki untuk Masa Depan (*nods* Yes, Loki.) (And oh yes, I forgot, happy birthday brother.)

(I also want to buy songs by Olive Tree and Inspirational Joni… but later, when I have money!)

And may I introduce my brother’s band here? It’s a 9-piece band called Eclipse Harmony. They’re a combo of classic musicians (a violinist, a pianist, two choir singers, one male and one female) and modern rock musicians (two guitarists, one of which is my brother, a bassist, a drummer, and a keyboardist). Well, many other bands have tried this combination with various results, and Eclipse Harmony’s music is extravagant prog-rock enough to attract the attention of Pure Saturday’s bassist Ade (who suggest them move to Jakarta, because prog-rock has more roots in the city than in Bandung).

I like their concept, which is mature enough for a new band, but they still have a lot to learn and write more songs :) Meanwhile, why don’t you try one of their songs, Walpurgisnacht, that I exclusively provide at my personal site.

If you like it, please find other materials of the band at Blitz’ digital music store (in Jakarta and Bandung). Every song costs IDR 5K + 10% tax. Eclipse Harmony will also soon perform live at Blitz.

A question for those who know Rock ‘n Roll Mafia:
Which one do you think is better, the previous, trance version of Dancing in the Echoes, or the new, electric-pop one?
Hard choice, but I think I like the new one. How about you? :)
