So I went to the Biosphäre Potsdam with the niecelets yesterday. It was fun. (Let's not talk about the random hut of an 'aboriginal shaman' in the middle of a prehistoric exhibition with dinosaurs and stuff. Let's not, okay. I went from 'oh hello there cute birdies' to wtf-face in two seconds flat. Good times.)
The place also had a butterfly house with free-flying tropical butterflies. For ten minutes I tried to get the beautiful blue ones to hold still for a second so I could take a picture. No dice. They would not stop flittering around the place. And then when I gave up and decided to leave (the littlest niecelet was sitting outside waiting and bored already) one of them landed on me. Typical.
These looked like plastic. It was weird.
These two were really cute. Too bad they would not hold still so the picture's a little blurry.
The eyes really looked like that.
