(TN: just for the info : [taken from wikipedia]
Chamaecyparis obtusa (Japanese cypress, hinoki cypress)
It is grown for its very high quality timber in Japan, where it is used as a material for building palaces, temples, shrines, traditional noh theatres, baths, table tennis blades and masu. The wood is lemon-scented, light pinkish-brown, with a rich, straight grain, and is highly rot-resistant. [it grows slow]
[…] The hinoki grown in Kiso, used for building Ise Shrine, are called ??? Go-Shin-boku "Tree where god stayed".
It is also a popular ornamental tree in parks and gardens, [known as a tree that stands in public and very open places] […]It is also often grown as bonsai. [bonsai-> Ukitake]
Hinoki (and Sugi) pollen is a major cause of hay fever in Japan. )

忍 - 'endure', 'bear', 'put up with', 'conceal', 'spy', 'sneak'
Toudou Gizaeimon (former 6th seat):
TN: I couldn't find 'Gizaeimon'. It doesn't really appear in any of the raws. I guess it's because the chapter version in Shounen Jump and the volume version differ slightly and the volume version features the given name. Bleachexile.com and other sites don't have the volume version in raw, that's why my hands are kinda bound with this one (sry, but I did my best).
藤 tou - wisteria (TN: I don't know really if that's right, since I couldn't really distinguish the strokes of one of the radicals from the raw.)

TN: Kubo's handwriting sucks. Trying to decipher these two names by combining the radicals was an almost impossible task for a stupid foreigner like me, since Kubo has the BAD habit of e.g. connecting dots with lines. It wasted two hours of my time. In the end I used a 'backward' method: I searched for the names und looked out for the Kanji.

Shuuhei's classmates:
青: ao(i) - 'blue/green'
鹿: ga - 'deer'
蟹沢: Kanisawa: the first one means crab, the 2nd swamp if you switch them it's the Japanese freshwater crab (Geothelphusa dehaani)
