This semester I took a basic Bio-101-type course, and the professor’s lecture format was in PowerPoint slides. On these PowerPoint slides, he often made minor spelling or grammar mistakes; the ones that come to mind are the frequent spelling of “complimentary” instead of “complementary,” or “groves” instead of “grooves.” A lot of students in the ( Read more... )

I can't find a quick-and-easy answer on the internets, so I'll turn to this community. I'm writing an essay about Plautine plays and his comedic tools, blah blah blah... Is the title of the play underlined or italicised? I can't remember.

I'm quoting a sentence in my paper that seems to have left out the word "a". If I wanted to add sic to indicate the error there, where would I put it? Should I even bother?
