I have been a longtime lurker in this community, and I have watched time and time again posters get reamed for not being "cool" or "clever" enough, along with posters who clearly think they are the cleverest people in the world poke fun at their students for not living up to their higher than thou expectations. emperor fabulous indeed! he needs to get back to the make up. i mean I love him and he's *so* good live, but he is not just 'some bloke' and I feel like lately he's been trying to be. It just doesn't feel right.

yeah. :( i'm watching "stripped" right now and it's just not quite the same without the heels. i'm not exactly sure why -- i'm a genderfuck-type myself so it's not like the presentation was inherently funny ("LOL DUDE IN SKIRT LOL!!!") but...i don't know, it just seems like he's not quite...himself??

i mean, i adored him in "the riches" playing a bloke, and i know he's trying to get into more acting and show that he doesn't have to be in heels to do it, but when people go to see izzard stand-up, they don't want to see robin williams. :(

plus! when I saw him live in January in NY he did *not* do James the God Mason for God, he just did his normal voice. It was very sad.
