I was having this discussion elsewhere and thought perhaps members of this community would have some interesting selections...I'm going to assume that at least a few of you grew up as "bookworms" given your current membership in Academics Anon.
What is your favorite book when you were in grade school? I stumbled upon an old copy of A Wrinkle in Time and began re-reading it - it was my favorite in elementary school. It's interesting the different things I take away from it as an adult. Now I want to go back and read more notable books from elementary/middle/high school and see what else I missed, especially those that I read because I "had" to.
Do you have any titles that you hold near and dear to your heart?

I found
the most commonly challenged books in the US and it makes me want to go read them all. Some of them on there are ridiculous.
