No, posts like this ask people to please observe the stated guidelines of the community. If it was a community for firefighters to discuss how to put out fires, how to stay safe during a fire, and how to deal with the victims of a fire, all from the perspective of firefighters and they were frequently pestered posts by arsonists and fire victims you can easily imagine a similar post in which they welcomed non-firefighters to read but similarly asked those people not to post because the community really isn't meant for them. The disrespect comes from those who choose to disregard the purpose of the community. We have moderators, yes, but they are not dictators. Other people can and should voice their opinions about how the community is run, particularly when they are merely pointing out what is already agreed upon in the profile.
