Advice Needed!

Last semester I wrote a paper for a doctoral course that was a complex secondary data analysis. I put a lot of blood, sweat and literal tears into getting it done. (Oh, and I got an A on the paper). Today I wrote a well-known researcher and asked her to look it over for me. She's offered to edit and co-author, or else to be suggested as a reviewer when I submit to a peer-reviewed journal.

My question is, what do you guys think would be the best route to take to increase my chances of being published? Both suggestions by her are incredibly generous. But the only publication I have at this point is a co-authored book chapter and I would like to have at least one thing in a journal before I have completed my degree.

HELP! Advice!!!
