In no particular order:
1) Today is the anniversary of Black Tuesday when the stock market crashed(the crash that caused the mass panic, not the initial crash - on Black Thursday. Could we work on naming things, folks? Shake it up a little. It's like the first one as the Death Star was fine and intimidating, but the second Death Star? Not only was that kind of conceptually dubious, but perhaps if you really wanted to scare us you could up the name factor or something. Anyway. Not the point.) Ok, I understand that it was on this date 1929 that Black Tuesday occurred, but I am just saying, it feels really weird to call this anniversary of Black Tuesday when clearly it's a crummy Monday.
2) Fantasy during my walk to work today: As I plowed toward the intersection of Terry and Hubbell, I came upon a crowd of khaki clad youths. (Screw you Wordsworth, and your daffodils. There is no justice.) I mean a baker's dozen at least of barely post-teens with khaki clad bums to the last Abercrombie sweatshirted, blond-highlighted girl among them. First thought: Auggh too early for that much beige! Second thought: me in my bright blue socks and otherwise entirely black ensemble careening down into the group and sending them flying like cartoon bowling pins. Made. My. Morning. Down with tan and near whites of all kinds! Ayiyiyiyiyiyiyiiyiiiiiiiiiiiii!
3) I was sitting at my desk at work just now trying to do a belly roll. There is a Specialty's breakfast sandwich currently inhabiting my stomach. This is not a good combination.
naming,
bowling for preyuppies,
stock market,
anti-khaki-ism,
full belly
