The morning screams futility. Where has all the light gone?
Desolation kisses me as she whispers to hold on.
And I’m going alone to spare you from my hollow.
You’re my everything you know. Promise you won’t follow
And grey is all I see. The sky is crying on me.
I’m tired of uncertainty. Can I go back to sleep?
The air is too thick to breathe. Are you expecting something?
I don’t ask for anything. Would you please stop staring?
Think I’ll stay in bed today, watch everything turn to grey.
Would you love me anyway, if I couldn’t face the rain?
