All Anita based, all fruity. It's impossible to create angsty dark drama while talking about fruit, so don't expect it in these drabbles.
Title: Proposal
Characters: Anita, Jason
Notes: Poor Jason, is all I have to say.
She'd always eaten grapes that way.
Her fingers would gently pluck the fruit off the stem, then roll it around a bit to warm it up. Then, she would place it gently into her mouth and roll it around with her tongue to loosen up the skin from the flesh of the fruit. Lastly, she would hold the grape between her lips before biting it in two and sucking down the juice.
That couldn't possibly be the reason that Jason had just asked her to marry him. After he picked his jaw up off the ground, that was.
Could it?

Title: Taste
Characters: Anita, Jean-Claude
Notes: Recall, if you will, that as Anita is Jean-Claude's human servant, he can taste food through her.
She had a lot of work, she'd argued. Jean-Claude had taken it well. He'd stayed at the house, moving around softly in the background.
Later, a small bowl appeared. She was halfway through it before she realized that it contained blackberries.
That is it. She picked up the bowl and sought out Jean-Claude on the back porch. His expression changed to one of surprise as she slid into his lap.
"If you wanted me to eat these, all you had to do was ask," Anita murmured. She put another blackberry in her mouth, and bit down as Jean-Claude moaned appreciatively.

Title: Fruit Sacrifice
Characters: Anita, Jason
Notes: Sorry about this one.
"Would vegetarian zombies like a fruit sacrifice better than a goat sacrifice?" Jason wondered aloud.
Anita concentrated on driving through the traffic. She was already late to the graveyard for the first zombie of the night, thanks to Jean-Claude's insistence that she take Jason in case the ardeur got out of control. "No."
"But they liked fruit and vegetables better in life. Why not in death?"
"Because they're dead, Jason," Anita snapped. "Dead. Over. No more. Finished."
Jason was quiet for a moment. "But what if it was like a blood orange?"
"Jason, don't make me turn this Jeep around."

Title: Temptation
Characters: Anita, Zerbrowski
Notes: Oh, I heart Zerbrowski. My attempt at fruit drama.
"Blake, can I ask a question?"
"Shoot, Zerbrowski."
"What's temptation?"
Anita glared. "Did Merlioni put you up to this?"
Zerbrowski shook his head. "No, I'm curious. You've faced more temptation than the rest of us."
Anita considered. Then she stood up and walked to his desk. "Temptation is a normal thing, offered in such a way that you don't realize that you would do anything for it until it's far too late." She picked something up off the desk and held it out, putting innocence and seduction into a smile that she would never, ever again direct at Zerbrowski. "Apple?"
