Glee Finale and Pretty Little Liars Pilot

Here's the music from the Glee finale.

I am planning to make a big post sometime with all the songs listed by episode. All of them are from iTunes because I find them to be more clearer that way. Then they were converted to mp3. I am entirely too OCD about this.

Speaking of the finale, it brought back memories from when I was in choir.

When I was a senior in high school, the choir I was in went to Florida for a competition. There was a moment before our performance when we had the chance to practice a bit. I remember one of the other choirs competing had been standing nearby listening to us practice. Members of that choir watched us, some with jaws dropped because we were pretty damn good, and that song we sang was very difficult. So we totally were expecting to win. Just as the members of New Directions expected it. Also like New Directions, we did not, in fact, win. The disappointment on their faces just brought back all kinds of memories. Seriously. I wanted to cry at the time when our choir was not named the winner. Choirs are serious business!

But I had so much love for this finale. All of the music was great. "To Sir, With Love" made me cry. This show just makes me so happy even when it is terribly unrealistic. But I don't care. It's supposed to be over the top, and I love it.

I am ridiculously happy that Holly is back on my tv. But holy crap, they got through the first book in one episode! I can kind of understand it, though. The first book really sets up the entire series. Just as pilot episodes are supposed to do. The second book will probably take place over the course of multiple episodes. At least I hope so.

I am having a really hard time buying Bianca Lawson in the role of a 16-year-old. She actually looks older than Holly, imo. Aria and Emily are my favorites in the books, and I suspect they will be on the show, too. Man, I wish Alexis Denisof was still playing Byron. Mmm, Piper and Wesley. That would have been awesome! Too bad he was recast. D:

And now for some silly babble. The show is set on the Philadelphia Main Line. There were so many references to the Philly area in the books. Hope they will be in the show, too. I am a huge dork who gets excited about this stuff. The mall is called King James Mall in the books (so obviously based on the King of Prussia Mall). I am sad it was changed to Rosewood Mall on the show. Bah! Yes, I think of little details like this.

Anyway, I think the show will be interesting.
