It didn't surprise him to see more follow, but the young man with the silver hair made him pause. Angeal kept a weary eye on him as he walked by, but like the others, let him pass. Unless Kadaj planned to sabotage their efforts, he had no desire to confront him.

"I wasn't there," he said as he turned back to the remaining two. "However, I did get a brief account from someone who was. From what I understood, their encounter didn't last long enough to get more than impression." Zack had been the one to tell him what he knew, and as much faith as he had in the younger SOLDIER, he would have rather had him down there with them to guide them in some direction. Unfortunately, he most likely wouldn't have been able to make it through the gate.

Angeal crossed his arms and took another look out beyond them. With so little to go on, they would need to spend some time exploring to see if they could pinpoint the cause for the 'distortion'. "When the Fire Plane was dealt with," he spoke slowly as his gaze drifted from Buffy to Marluxia. "There a guardian who they had an agreement with that restored the city. Perhaps with more of here, it might awaken another."

Although it was entirely possible that the state of the city and their ghost-like appearance may have two unrelated sources. Still, he would attempt any theory until they found a solution. Angeal gestured towards Marluxia. "Shall we start in the main chamber?"
