Yeah, that qualifies as "Oops"
In order to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the (former) Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany, a calendar was commissioned showing Soviet troops bravely going into battle, etc. Only one small problem: it seems that four of the six photographs chosen depicted German troops, not Russian. Apparently, while Russian veterans had submitted a bunch of photos, the publisher said they weren't "interesting enough", and went and fetched their own from the Internet.
Svetlana Somova, a senior manager at the publisher, admitted: “We are young and we didn’t see the war. We don’t know what fascist soldiers looked like."
Guys, you were on the Internet to get the pics, would it have killed you to done three seconds of research?
