PIE!
Today is my first full day back in KS.
For now, until I find job/apartment, I'm living half with mom and half with Raymond. Mom is in Wellington. Raymond is in Wichita. Spending most of the time in Wichita, though, since that's where I want to end up living.
We're checking our e-mail on my laptop at the Riverside Perk. This place has all the character and homey feel of any little cafe in Seattle, but it's roomier. And there are fewer people, of course. But they have something that nowhere in Seattle (i believe) has: good PIE.
I don't even like pie. Really. But I come here and get a huge slice of blueberry pie and coffee and I remember how in love I am with their home-made pie. The crust could take someone down in a boxing match. For reals, kids.
SO if you're in Wichita, come to the Perk. Current F5 intern, Ryan Drake, has a showing of cool art on the walls here. Monotype on paper, in case you were wondering, and a lot of them are for sale. He's got a good eye for drawing people. Also in case you were wondering.
