I spent my last day in town pretty much alone. Ran into Mike and Ananda at Cyber Dogs. Said hi. Gave Mike the charcoal I did of him and bequeathed the pillow to him.
Walked down to the market and drew a picture of the Danny's Wonder Freeze, which has been in business for 53 years says Danny, the friendly owner. The first time I came to Seattle, Web was really excited about taking me to the Wonder Freeze. He said Danny would tell anybody a story, and they were all good. Also, the Wonder Freeze had tofu corn dogs Danny made to order.
From there, I caught a bus to the Alki penninsula, over by West Seattle. I wanted to see the Alki lighthouse, but the whole thing is surrounded by a big fence and was closed, says the U.S. Coast Guard. It's only open to the public on the weekends from 1-4. Lame. Still, I spent an hour or so on the beach, picking up sea glass, taking pictures of the waves, sending Levi a voicemail of the tide so he could have something to relax to if he liked. My favorite piece of ocean glass is a lightbulb I found. The metal end had been broken off some time ago, but it was worn smooth. The glass is very thick.
When I got home, i was locked out again. Web and Jennifer weren't home. They were gone all day looking at a college. Killed some time at Hot Mamas Pizza, then went back to the apartment. Jennifer was watching Star Wars, so I joined her on the couch. When I sat down, Web went into the kitchen and started asking me how to get student loans. He wanted to know how I get the money--just sign up for class and they give you money? The way he asked, it sounded like he was trying to make me look stupid again. I started asking questions back to give him clear answers. Also, it was hard to yell from the living room to the kitchen. My answers weren't what he was looking for, I guess, because he got angry and said nevermind.
Then he wouldn't sit on the couch. He sat on the floor. He sat on the floor next to Jennifer. Then after a few minutes of Star Wars, he decided to go to bed.
This guy hasn't said a nice thing to me since a few days ago, when he was on ecstasy.
FUCK. I'm glad I'm going home.
