Why hasn't it rained yet!

Rain would be useful today.

Opened Cyber Dogs for the third day in a row, out of four. Today, though, was the Gay Pride parade up on Broadway. The first thing I saw when I looked out Web's window this morning was a guy in wrap-shorts, covered head-to-toe in blue body paint, with a pitch-fork and Devil horns. A blue devil? Anyway, equally creative creatures swarmed the streeets.

Which means Cyber Dogs remained empty for most of my shift. A lot of our vegetarian and vegan clientele are also either gay or into checking out the festivities. The Internet also went down about three, to the dismay of the first signinficant group of customers. It's up now, though.

What else? I'm ready to go home. Well, I'm ready to go to the U-District or to Canada or somewhere that isn't Capitol Hill for a while. GAAH! I don't like having crack cocaine and X and every drug known to man (except 'shrooms--they're "out of season" now) available within a block radius. And all that comes with it.

But RAYMOND is getting here in three days. We're staying in the historic Moore Hotel for a few days, just two blocks from Pike Street Market, etc, etc. I can be a total tourist for a while, WITH a companion who won't ditch me for work/their significant other (cause I AM the s/o!) woot.

So, there's some good in the world, too. Saw a Zombies Movie (Land of the Dead?) with my friend Morgan, this guy who's artist for a living and has a mohawk. He's not creepy or weird, though. In fact, he's Cyber Dogs approved. Though there might be a lot of lesbos and starving musicians around CD, there's also a wealth of smart, empathetic people. Morgan is one of them. And he likes zombies!

Also, having a CD chili-cheese dog for dinner. Tons of vegetarian fun. It's the first meal I had in SEattle. I ate one in the cormer computer in the lazy boy, looking the whole store over. The music was loud but good, Tania was loud but good, and all the regulars seemed like geniune people.

Ps: ask me about getting a free veggie dog from a coast guard and having a cab driver named Ali ask me out in the same night. (Note: none of the advances were welcome)
Time to call mom!
