Goodbye Josie
We had to put my dog to sleep this morning. Yesterday we had taken her to the vet for x-rays and it turned out she had cancer in her spleen and liver. She collapsed at the vet and couldn't walk anymore so my parents had to take her home on a stretcher. She stayed at home overnight and she was crying out in pain the whole night, so we took her back to the vet on the stretcher this morning and the vet gave her the shot. She looked at me with the saddest, most loving eyes as we were walking in. She looked at me like it was the last time, b/c it was. It's so weird not coming home and seeing her running around the dining room table like she always did whenever someone came to or left the house, thinking that we were all sheep she had to herd. At least she's not in pain anymore.
