Lucky I checked my e-mail this morning. I e-mailed Boss Man last night telling him that I would be late because Dad was getting chains for my car by I would be there later this morning.
Well, I checked this morning and according to Boss Man the roof has collapsed in the shipping dock area of our building because of the ice and snow and apparently no one is allowed back in the building until January 29th at least. *headdesk...again and again and again!*
I think I'm still in the shocked stage right now that is verging on panic. It think it's good that I'm cat sitting for iowagirl11 because Gracie the cat is sitting with me right now and demanding that I pet her and it's keeping me calm for the moment.
Within the past half hour I've gotten in contact with three temp agencies, updated my information, told them that I'm available for shoveling elephant poo at the zoo if that's all they have available. But from what I'm hearing I probably won't get anything until after the first of the year.
*depressed sigh* So yeah...this sucks.
