And I am alive...
I white knuckled my way to work this morning. Got here about twenty minutes late and the people who give me stuff to do are not here yet. It snowed during the night, maybe about a quarter of an inch. But that's enough to make the side roads scary, which they were!
I just LOVE my TARDIS so much! I slid some on the side roads but I was able to keep control and continue forward. Ran a red light at one point because I didn't want to try stopping in such a short space which is what I was chanting in my car, all by myself as I ran through the red light.
"Sorry, I'm not stopping. I'm not stopping. Not gonna stop. I'm not stopping."
But I made it and things are supposed to melt later today so I'm not too concerned about getting home.
On the news, however, they are calling what is supposed to happen this weekend the DANGEROUS WEEKEND STORM in big block letters. We're just supposed to get more of the same stuff and some freezing rain this weekend but it should be gone by Monday. Everyone in Oregon, especially news casters are so dramatic.
