Today, November 30, is the Feast of Saint Andrew. An old German tradition says that single women who wish to marry should ask for Saint Andrew's help on the Eve of his feast, then sleep naked that night; they will see their future husbands in their dreams.
Some other things about Saint Andrew: He was the first apostle. He was martyred on November 30, in the year 60 AD, on a cross shaped like an X. This cross appears on the flags of Scotland and Britain. His relics are kept in the cathedral of Amalfi, in Italy. Good reason to visit the Amalfi coast...
Today is also my mom's birthday. Happy birthday Mom!!
Oh yeah, and I got a raise today. :-)
Friday will be another landmark day - that day I will officially pay off the remainder of my last student loan.
I needed a good day today. The last couple have been downers at work...mostly from trying to get back into the groove after the Thanksgiving holiday.
