[this guy WORKS in the comic store!

Well. He's not really working or anything, more like he's sitting behind the counter and eating a cupcake and not giving a damn, but he is also staring. Since this guy has been here for like... four hours...]

[And he has no plans of leaving any time soon. It's almost like he's trying to read everything that's come out.]

I want super powers... would I get something cool if I fell into a vat of radioactive waste?

[well, he can... empathize. If this was a Japanese comic store, he'd be way more into it.]

[Almaz doesn't care what style it is as long as there are heroes.]

Mm. The comics themselves are meant to be wish fulfillment.

B-but even comics can spell out a path! Well, they could back home. Sir Aurum's comics were always very helpful.

[That was true, the heroes he had seen here weren't all that heroic like.]

It must not help that their abilities and levels are taken away.

[he shrugs at that. People do get their abilities back, and it hasn't changed a thing.]

What were those comics like, then?

Sir Aurums? They were filled with his adventures defeating all the different Overlords! Saving villages and kingdoms all over the world!
