My Girl Snitch
I haven't posted anything in a long time so I figured I would challenge myself to see if I could acutally figure out how to post a pic and use an LJ cut. Here goes!
If it works you should be looking at a picture of my very special girl. Her name is Snitch and she is the very first dog that I have raised all on my own. Well, hubby helped too, but she is very much a "Momma's Girl"
My Hubby called me from work one bright morning and asked me if I wanted a dog. I replied "Is this a hypothetical question?" because he knew I missed living in a house with pets. Sorry for me Fish don't count.
As it turned out it was a very real question. He worked in a the heart of a big city and this beautiful, big-eyed dog was just waiting outside of his building for someone. She had no collar and the security people were going to call the pound to come get her. I got there first.
She has been with us for 11 1/2 years now. She is the spoiled rotten queen of the house. She rules the roost over her 2 younger "brothers". She loves to sleep most of the day in a pool of sunshine on the floor, or better yet, on the couch under a blanket. We think she is part cat because when you pet her, she twines herself in and out of your legs.
Sadly for us though, we found out a while ago that she has Thyroid cancer and because of her age there isn't anything that can be done. We made the choice to keep her close to us as long as we can and show her how much we love her everyday. Hopefully that will be many days. So far she is doing well. No pain evident. She is still the crazy, noisy, loving girl she always has been.
