Skylar's home!
I am very happy to tell you that Skylar was returned to me today. He was found by a lovely young couple who witnessed him get hit by a car about 1 mile from home. They picked him up and took him home. He had a limp, but they didn't think he needed a vet. He seems fine today. They took great care of him, even trimming out the mats in his fur behind his ears and on his hind legs. How they got him to hold still for that I'll never know. They even bought him a big raw hide bone. They had become very attached to him in the 3 days they had him. They were able to locate me through his micro chip. It had my home phone number and address. They said they stopped by a few times over the weekend. Of course I was out having my own Grand Adventure this weekend and wasn't here. The chip company called me on my cell number tonight and gave me the couple's phone number. The company even called LeatherGirlD as his emergency contact. I am so relieved to have him home. Ironically, I got the call not too long after I got home from putting up lost dog posters in the neighborhood, lol.
