Character Information:
Character Name: Jaina Solo
Age: 19
Canon: Star Wars Extended Universe
Appearance:
[copypastad with permission from Arden :3]
Obviously, Jacen's Jaina's most striking feature would be her his eyes, which are the color of a fine Corellian brandy. In fact, this is reinforced so much in canon, that it is possible that even looking at Jacen Jaina Solo for thirty seconds dead in the eyes would be enough to render any Corellian worth their spice incredibly thirsty without really knowing why. While this has not proven to be a specifically useful skill as of yet, who knows what the future may bring. Either way, his her liquidy eyes are his her calling card whenever Kevin J. Anderson is near.
Like both his her parents, she he also has dark brown hair. She He stands at approximately 5'9".....4'11" B|. And she he can knock out the patented Solo grin with the best of them. And obviously, she's he's a hottie. Look at her his parents.
Personality:
Jaina's most defining trait is easily her determination. When she wants to see something done, she'll get it done through whatever means she can use. Jaina is someone who constantly needs a goal to reach, she's uncomfortable with being idle and would rather be working, whether it's on lightsaber forms or tinkering with machines. Her perspectives tend to be very pragmatic in life, and she isn't one to typically spend a lot of time contemplating the mysteries of the universe or the what ifs. She focuses on the things that are right in front of her, and how to succeed in doing them. Because of this, Jaina has long since learned how to be resourceful with the tools at her disposal. A natural strategist, when she is presented with an obstacle she will utilize every means of defeating it, and if the obstacle's big enough or the end goal is important, she's not afraid of crossing a few lines on the morality spectrum. She can think on her feet, and will make the quick decision without thinking through all of the consequences.
Because of this outlook, Jaina can sometimes come off as close-minded or stubborn. She has no time for tact or pleasantries when dealing with people, and only uses the diplomatic approach when she thinks no other means will work. And while Jaina personally toys with the shades of gray in morality, she has little patience for people who can't make up their mind or choose a side. There is the Right Cause and the Wrong Cause in Jaina's world, and if she thinks you're on the wrong side she'll let you know. Usually with snark or a lightsaber at your throat. She's not the most serene person in the world, she gets angry and defensive easily, and it doesn't take much to provoke her if the provoker knows which spots to hit.
However, when it comes to the people she cares about, Jaina is incredibly protective and almost maternal. She will push people into reaching their potential, and won't tolerate any less from those she has faith in. Jaina doesn't trust easily, but when she does she puts everything into that trust and is unlikely to forgive any transgressions against it. After her younger brother's death, this has only become a stronger mentality, as Jaina is unwilling to lose anyone close to her again. She has an innate fear of letting down those she cares for, and because of that she's intense about getting those close to her to become stronger and safer. If she senses a loved one in danger, Jaina is quick to put her own life on the line to make sure they get to safety.
Outwardly, Jaina is somewhat of a tomboy. She loves flying, mechanics, and other activities that require getting your hands dirty. She spends next to no time on her outward appearance unless she believes that it will get her some benefit in return, and has all the grace and poise of a charging elephant. Conversationally, she's a bit of an ass, usually having a sarcastic reply on the tip of her tongue and is occasionally teasing. Often, she's dismissive of deep or philosophical talks, preferring to deal with things that are more hands-on and tangible, and anything with the abstracts is superfluous information that has no relevance in the real world. Jaina's a girl who deals with the hows, not the whys.
Background:
here is the ridiculously long and complicated background of Jaina Solo. I am taking her from when she is around nineteen years old, after the loss of her brother Anakin and the return of her brother Jacen from the Vong; or post Destiny's Way. I'm taking Jaina from this canon point to match her totes osm bro, as well as because I think it gives a lot of room to develop her characterization and that her mindset is more appropriate for the war-setting.
Special Abilities or Weapons:
Jaina Solo is a Jedi Knight, one particularly gifted in the Force. She is especially talented in piloting, mechanics, strategy, and being a bamf with a gd lasersword. There is also the ability of the Solo Soulful Stare, which is especially powerful when used in conjunction with her twin brother Jacen's Soulful Stare, creating the Supreme Soulful Solo Twin Stare, which is able to not only stop chaotic events in order to have a poignant moment of caring/anguish depending on the nature of said chaotic moment, but is also used for optimal trolling.
She built her own lightsaber when she was fourteen using a gizka-shaped crystal she grew in a lab. Because holy shit she was a derp as a child. The blade is violet, or blue, depending on how lazy the colorers for the NJO books are at the time.

First Person:
To anyone who can hear this;
This is Jedi Knight Jaina Solo. I woke up in an unknown area accompanied and aggravated by Master Kyp Durron. Neither of us know what the karking hell's going on, so if you could enlighten us, that'd be great.
I also want my lightsaber back. You took it, it's mine, return it. Standard policy.
...and a jumpsuit wouldn't be too much to ask either.
Third Person:
It wasn't everyday that a girl found herself face to face with a temple that had been destroyed almost four thousand years ago, nevermind the fact that it was her grandfather who had been the one to blame for its destruction. The fact that the entire kriffing planet had met its demise only a year ago at the hands of alien invaders was something that Jaina chose to ignore for now. Lingering thoughts about the loss of Coruscant, the loss of her grandfather's Order, were things that wouldn't help her get home.
Because as Jaina let a hand trail through the water of a fountain that should have been rubble for the better part of forty years, it became all too clear that this place, this galaxy wasn't where she belonged. Seeing kids running around in robes instead of jumpsuits, small lightsabers deflecting blaster bolts in an ornate courtyard, and a skyline devoid of Vong skiffs was more than enough of a reminder.
This wasn't her homeworld.
And if she got caught up in defending it from some megalomaniac wearing a mask then what was left of her side of the sky was going to go down in flames without her.
And Jaina wasn't about to let that happen.
So for now, she'd play along. Let the Council of this time think they were calling the shots, but as soon as an opportunity presented itself she was gone to the nearest shuttle.
Anything Else:
Rooming with that nerf herder Kyp Durron, please~
