(no subject)

Hot damn school is tough when it's in another language. I just got home from school, and it was definitely the most trying experience I've had here in Spain so far.

My subjects are:

English
History of Music
History of Art
History (Spain)
Latin 2
Spanish Language and Literature
Geography
Philosophy

English, granted, is easy but it's only 3 times a week. History of Music I'm behind because I've never seriously studied it at all, excluding a few months in voice lessons. The same professor teaches both Geography and Art History, and I can seriously not understand him. He mumbles, but in another language, and talks really fast. Ha ha. Latin I've also had minimal experience in; the class is on chapter 19. The teacher gave me chapter one words to study as well so I can maybe catch up. They read a story in class in Latin. It was crazy. I'm not even completely sufficient in spanish yet, and learning Latin to Spanish and vice versa is difficult. Philosophy is really interesting, but there are big words I don't understand. I really like that class though. We're studying presocratic philosophers and their theories on what life is, what one is composed of, what drives the unviverse, that sort of thing. Spanish Lang and Lit is hard too because we have to take notes religiously, and have the time I don't know what word I'm wrting, technical words like "incoativos, factivos, causativos, semático," etc. Coming here and going to school is seriously the biggest challenge I've ever had in my life. I have a huge headache.

Other than that, I've kinda made friends at school. I need to loosen up though, becuase I'm so preoccupied or frusterated about the lesson and stuff that I may not be as friendly as I normally am. I'll try harder tommorrow.
