Hey, it's been awhile since I posted another part of my series on all the Impostor Two-Faces, hasn't it? This next one is part of a larger story arc, Nightwing: Year One, which reunited the team of Chuck Dixon and Two-Face familiar Scott McDaniel ( Read more... )

Evidently, DC is trying to push the idea of the Joker as an omnipotent, nigh-incomprehensible, ever-homicidal god of chaos, a la Grant Morrison. Printing Chuck Dixon's stories might lead to people coming to the idea that the Joker might be *GASP!* funny and amiable and classy even when he's about to brutally kill you ( ... )

Good catch on Blake. I did miss him, and plan to get to him eventually, but he got lost in the shuffle of other posts. Doing this reminded me of that. I think there's only one impostor left, the one from Denny O'Neil's recent story with Nightwing after Batman R.I.P., although I vaguely recall that there was one more that you reminded me about. Do you know who that one was ( ... )

That's one thing I'd love to see in the redo of DITF: actually showing their characters acting like they went through the harrowing events of TKJ, so that the story can be dealt as an actual aftermath. I'd also like to see someone trying to salvage the gross indignity heaped upon Babs, but I think Ostrander and Yale already tackled that back in the day.

It's a real shame that Steph and Damian haven't faced off against Harvey yet. I feel like there's potential for the former, who--like Jason--is the child of a petty crook, so maybe there's some insight there. As for Damian... well, frankly, while I'd ideally like to see him humble the brat, I'd just be concerned for Harvey's survival.

Knowing Damian, he'd stole the coin the first chance he gets and play keep-away with Harvey. If he's feeling really dickish, he'll throw some Batarang thingy at the coin in mid-filp, cutting it into perfect halves - one which lands good-heads up, one which lands scarred-heads up.

That actually happened in a picture book featuring Harvey, you know.
