Sungmin stands in front of his crush, looking up to the apparent younger, only to catch himself blushing furiously again as he droops his head back down, mumbling a quick 'I like you'. The said man never replies, but swoops down to capture Sungmin's soft lips into his chapped ones. They broke apart minutes later, leaving Sungmin gasping for a breath as Kyuhyun embraces him and sighs into the shorter's hair. "I don't like you, I love you."...
Sharp, muffled sobs were heard late into the night.
"You took my breath away from me the first time I saw you Kyu. You were so dazzling under the strobe lights on the stage, so handsome, magnificent. You were literally breathtaking when you sang that song." Sungmin breaks into giggles, remembering how they first met. "And you were so short and cute below there. Absolutely squishable!" Kyuhyun looked upon Sungmin with a sly grin on his face, only to be replied with an obvious blushing streak and little pounds on his chest from the older. A tighter embrace and random showers of kisses was followed by 9 words. "Promise you will never leave me." "I promise."
A loud crash rang through the empty skies, leading to shocked shouts and frantic foot steps to the source. The only thing that could be heard over strangled cries and shouts for help. "Sungmin has fainted! He... He is not breathing!"
-beep...beep...beep...- little sounds emitted from the heart monitoring machine. "Wake up Kyu... You promised that you will never leave me, didn't you?" 2 days before their marriage, Kyuhyun has been shot in the forehead by a maniac on a shooting spree while he was getting groceries. Sungmin had been sick that day, and now he just blames everything on himself, for getting sick and making Kyuhyun go out on that fateful day. He was in his room all day, hugging himself and crying to sleep every night. He had caused it to happen, he killed his husband-to-be... "It's my fault Kyu... I should have took care of myself, if I did we would be in Miami now. On honeymoon... You were so nice to me, yet look at what i did to you... It's my fault, my fault, my fault..." Desperate chants were heard through the corridor. Not long after, there was only a scream and a constant beep that echoed through the hallway, immediately summoning all medical staff within 10 metres. The unconscious man was pronounced dead.
"Kyuhyun ah... I wanted you to return me my breath... You know I can't live without you... ... But I don't want it back now, for i will see you soon." The heart rate monitor of the patient by the name of Lee Sungmin went blank, producing the same monotonic yet frightening sound the said man had heard exactly a year ago. Now he is being pronounced dead on the very same spot, at the very same time the man's lover had been.
Reason for departure: the inability to breathe.
