Well, you see, this might be why there's so much turmoil between the British and the French. French food is incredibly hard to understand.

Maybe it's their own way of spiting the Brits then. Thinly veiled culinary vengeance. The French have elitist tendencies anyway so I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this. Making their food harder for everyone else but them, I mean.

Oh, I bet they would! Though, really, the French are quite nice. They really do know how to party. Speaking of which: always bring red wine to a French party.

Red, huh? I shouldn't be so surprised that they're being specific about that as well. But I'll remember that if I ever get invited to a French party. Wouldn't want them to be targeting me the whole night for bringing the wrong kind of wine.
