A clearing in the Preserve, Thursday afternoon

It was generally a good idea to let sleeping dragons lie. The multitude of flowers which had sprouted up around Toothless obviously subscribed to this theory, as they were simply humming quietly to themselves while they bobbed and nodded and danced on their stems.

Until, that is, the dragon stirred.

Toothless' head popped straight up in the air and he scrambled to his feet, hissing. He was surrounded by flowers, loud flowers, flowers that were singing and trying to give him little hugs with their tiny leaves and singing and saying how much they loved him and how wonderful he was and singing a special song just for him.

"Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea, and frolicked in the autumn mists…"

Toothless groaned and put his wings over his head.

"Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff, and brought him strings and sealing wax…"

Lifting the edge of one wing, he gave the flowers his best evil glare. They kept singing. This called for desperate measures.

A stamen-singeing ball of flame passed just over the petals of the floral chorus.

The flowers went silent, huddling together. Toothless sat up, gazing at them expectantly, until they burst once more into glorious song.

"…when united we come to the land of the sun with the heart of a dragon we ride!"

Looking very smug, Toothless settled back down amongst the multitude of flowers to enjoy the attention, tiny hugs and all.

[OOC: Establishy! I know exactly two songs with dragons in them, and Toothless doesn't strike me as a Peter, Paul and Mary fan.]
