it's been so long.. where to begin...
well, for starters.. NY was awsome.. travis and i went there with my mom, step-dad, and sister, laura. niagara falls NY/CA are amazing.. both in their own ways.. the american side is simply beautiful while the canadian side is amazing because of the strength it seems to have when you are standing right next to it.. and the mist, holy crap can you see the mist from MILES away. its wonderful. one day we went geocaching at the falls and found out that if you travel to goat island (the land that seperates ny falls from ca falls) you can actually walk right up to the river.. which was great for taking pictures, but i was scared to death when travis had a hunch that a cache was buried on the banks of the river *ahem* the jaged, steep banks of the river. laura came along for the cache, but none of us could find it.. we wanted to go back later and look more but never found the time. =o( later that day we did find a cache though.. it was easy. all we had to do was find a certain spot on the canadian side and take a picture of ourselves with the GPS.. it came out cute lol.
- but that was 2-3 weeks ago... so to the present.... .. .
this last week was super-stressful in school and i am SO glad it is over.. the week started with a test that we had to take from the previous week since we had friday off.. good times. so monday we took the test and received a 16 page handout about mechanisms of disease (sounds fun already, huh?!) we went over it in class for a good minute and received 23 vocabulary words... no problem.. only we also receive a packet of 16 different pathogenic organisms that we must know by TOMORROW for a quiz.. if that doesn't sound fun enough.. those vocab words i mentioned.. yah.. that quiz is in 2 days.. =oD for some reason though i didn't worry about the terms.. it would be alright i told myself.. so i studied the pathogens and made a 100 on the quiz... yay.. after the quiz ended i started cramming the terms for the next day (as did EVERYONE else in my class) we were all very nervous about this one.. who in there right mind would want to remember 23 terms in 24 hours.. noone i know, that's for sure.. anyways.. so of course this is tuesday night that i am studying which happens to be beach gameland night.. where i can normally study in between playing DDR but for some reason tonight i was not willing to. so i didn't learn much that night.. wednesday morning comes around and i don't remember any of the words so i'm a little worried about this quiz. so all morning i study, when i get to school i study.. during the lab break.. after lab/before didactic and even before my teacher gets into the class.. lol i was nervous.. and to my surprise.. 100! yayayay i was so happy.. then more great news.. "here is your study guide.. a 73 question fill in the blank take home packet.. that by the way will be counted as a quiz grade.. oh and yeah.. your test is 108 questions fill in the blank so be prepared." =oO HOLY CRAP! did he just.. nooooo couldn't have.. 108? fill in the blank? come again?! i didn't let it get to me.. i just had to be a hermit crab and stay inside and study for the next day and a half.. good times..*shrugs* but i have to. =oT so i finished the review confident in what i knew.. i did very well... 96.. some things were worded funny so i didn't quit understand and couldn't ask for help since it was a quiz grade.. so it's ok.. so that night i studied so much and i even got my mom to read my flash cards to me and help me out.. when i got to school the next day my teacher was like "good news... i'm gonna be a nice guy today," he only gave us 75 fill in the blanks.. now granted like 6 of them had about 5 different answers to it in order for it to be correct, but hey.. better than 108! AND I GOT A 100%!!!!! you seriously don't know how happy i was.. and the only one i might add, lol im cocky about it. i don't care.. i worked my butt off this week and put myself under a lot of stress. i am so happy with the way it turned out.. finally i can relax.. lol.. until next week when we start digging deep into the integumentary system =oP i love my class.
today was a good day off from school too. travis and i got alot accomplished.. we woke up early.. went to the park with keyser and found a cache.. we walked around for like 2 hours and wore keyser out (he might sleep until next tuesday *fingers crossed* lol). got home with enough time to relax before work, which was nice tonight.. it was busy enough to keep me out of the store but slow enough to where he wasn't rushing around like a crazy man =o)
