If you could find out one single fact about every person you met, what fact would you want to know, and why?
The happiest moment in their life. I know, that makes me sound like a total sap, but see, I get to know most of the other crap anyway. When you meet people - well, when I meet them, or did during the majority of my life - it's in a fighting situation more often than not. So you have to figure out weaknesses pretty quickly, or you end up dead. If there is conversation first, it probably starts with either threats or pleas for help. Either way, you hear about the bad stuff going on in their lives.
But the good stuff - what makes them happy - the good moments? People don't tell you those nearly as often as you'd think, and then sometimes they make them up. Mom and Dad used to say they were happiest when I and my sister were born, but what they remember about me never happened. The Mere memory is still true, I suppose. Or they mention stuff because they want you to react in a certain way. Have an agenda.
So. Just knowing the real, genuine moment when they were happiest? That would be cool. Jasmine knew, and she could share that feeling with the rest of us when we were all connected, before Fred left, but the knowledge never lasted when she withdrew. Sure, it wouldn't be "useful" - I mean, it wouldn't give me any kind of advantage. It would just - it would be good. I think. A reminder of what can be.
