I'm no tenor...why is my teacher trying to get me to a high C???

Sometimes, I think my voice teacher is crazy, but I trust her and try to just be open to new sensations and not be afraid to just let go and see what happens...it is really scary at times, but not holding back during this shouty-sing exercise she did with me, got me up to a B flat below high tenor C today. My teacher seems to think that with a lot of hard work and even more experimenting, I can have quite an extensive range, and loud, great for opera. Its hars to think I may be more of a tenor than I normally let myself claim. Baritone has been my classification for the longest time...I like it...it is safe...I like the direction things are going though. I like the resonances I am experiencing...I am excited.

"The Most Happy Fella" is going really well so far. I feel I am up to par with my fellow male counterparts (well, the non grad. students because they are just soooo amazing, I can't touch them with a 20 foot pole...I am in awe) and I had a nice callback today. Here is hoping I get some kind of minor part!!! I am having a lot of fun right now guys!!!
