Long time, no write. Nothing exciting has been going on. For some reason, work has been really slow lately. I don’t know if it is because Decatur General has been doing more surgeries lately, but we have not had a full floor since I have been back to work. That’s scary, because Crestwood is supposed to be getting some type of certificate or something to start doing open heart over there. I cannot imagine getting any slower than this. Oh well.
I don’t know what has gotten into me lately, but I have been shopping like a mad woman. A couple weekends ago, I spent money buying stuff on the internet. Last Wednesday, I went to the mall after work and bought all kinds of clothes just because I felt like it. Then, yesterday afternoon, I went over to Banana Republic because I heard that they had a pretty good sale going on. They did. I spent more money. I also went to the bookstore to buy books 3, 4, and 5 of the Harry Potter series. I need to read these before I get the sixth book, which I pre-ordered on Amazon last month.
Last night, I went to this lady’s surprise 60th birthday party. This is somebody I know from work. Her daughter sent me an invitation a couple of weeks ago. I was so annoyed on the way over there because the party was in Hazel Green, which I know nothing about. So I was driving around, not knowing where I was going. I got close to the street I was supposed to turn on, but because I don’t see very well at night unless the street is well lit, I didn’t know exactly where to turn. I ended up finding my way alright. The party turned out to be pretty fun. A few people from work came so it was a pretty good time.
My cousin, Lorenzo, is going to be in Huntsville again this week. We’ll probably go out to dinner, like we usually do when he comes here for work. This is like the third time in the past year he has flown to Huntsville for work. When I moved here, I didn’t think anyone in my family even knew where this town was.
Oh yeah, I started taking these vitamins that are supposed to be good for my eye health. With all the stuff that has been going on with my eye, I started to get worried about it. Anyhow, I found out about these vitamins from the National Eye Institute. Who knew that they made vitamins for "eye health"? Dawn has forbidden me from donating my blood anymore. She thinks that they should be transfusing me with blood. I tried to donate on Monday, but my iron was too low. Everyone thinks that it is because of what happened with my eye.
Well, it’s time to put all my new clothes away.
