March 17th 4:59am-6:39pm and continued

Woke up really early this morning and decided I didn't want to go to practice. Then I did. And boy howdy am I glad I did. It was what practices should be like and once were like. A beautiful morning, practice was excellent. What, of course, happened next? Epic Duels, good ones, epic ones on rocks beneath gnarled willows... very kung fu-esque. Went home cleared the basement, went hiking with MAGGIE!!! Woot woot. That was immensely enjoyable and refreshing and all things good. Maggie=magnificent (That's what the M stands for). We went to a cool boulangerie and I had an amazing beet salad. Beets! Immediately I went to the airport to pick up Stephanie and we played frisbee and it was quite silly. Now I'm home an hour later than I said I would be, came home to an empty house and I'm currently taking a break to center myself and get the writing gears wheeling before I attempt to write Heather a birthday poem. Hooray for shotgun poetry and gifts to people and writing a poem that isn't passionately inspired but compassionately conceived! We'll see waht happens. I haven't written a poem in a long time, i haven't been inspired to. But I'll find it in me somewhere and it'll turn out awkward, gawky and overdone as even my most passionately thought words spill, but... hey, we'll see. It might be genius! Probably not, but they'll be mine goshdarnit!

Tired.
I told Stephanie it would be a sunny day today, that spring was here. Then pretty much the same moment she got off the plane the clouds came and ruined me and my credibility.
Thanks a lot weather gods. Seriously.
Jerks.
