So I am at work and in one of those interesting moments, where in order to do my job, someone else has to get something built/processed/decided so that I might proceed to do all my Group Sale-ing. Sweet! So instead of working, let me update LJ.
Here at the theatre, our wonderful web design/multimedia tech dude has edited this lovely commercial-type thing and has it looping in 2 minute intervals on our outdoor kiosk screens. Unfortunately, he also cranked the volume so that we here indoors can hear it too. All day, non-stop. I might kill someone. I mean, all of us in the Ticket Office take turns manning the desk, so it isn't every day that I have to hear this. Yet still, 8 hours of the same 2 minutes of audio is, in my book, near to Chinese water torture. Please Dave, let's stop the madness.
Other than 8+ hours of horrible, repetitive, nondescript music looping all day, things here at work are pretty swell. I have been forced to take three vacations (two of them paid), which has spoiled me rotten. The relaxed summer hours and less frantic coworkers are also a nice change, and we all seem to be having more fun at work (whut!?!).
Science, Sex, and The Ladies wrapped last Wednesday to my eternal joy/sorrow. Our final day of shooting was a fun mash-up of scenes. Lots of reaction shots, a couple voice overs ("My doctor says my clitoris is too small for me to orgasm properly."), and one really funny scene where all of us sat around and watched porn. I shall miss the free food, the hilarious costumes, the awesome people, and the even more awesome lines. When will I ever get the opportunity to say the words "Vulva" and "Naked muscular buttocks" all in the same sentence ever again? Good times. I will not miss loosing entire Saturdays, driving to Anderson, and waking up at 7am on my days off. Yet, now I have a film credit on my resume, and a lot of new experiences under my belt, and hopefully $1,900 in my bank account in the near future.
Whelp, I suppose I should scrounge around for a little work to do in my last half hour here. That should be it for now.
