I'm still alive, really

So, I haven't done a real post in like forever and a day.

June 22 was my last day at Eckerd. I am so glad. So, I've been a housewife for a little over a week. It's amazing how much time there is in a day when you don't have to work. I actually got BORED a couple days! :D

Basically, I've been spending lots of time cooking, play video games, reading, etc. I even made up a new chili recipe, based on mine and Teddy's taste preferences. :D It was cheap and very good.

I cleaned for a few hours today while my dad came over and fixed the electricity in the baby's room. I didn't sleep well last night cause I was worried about today, and I couldn't get back to sleep after Teddy left this morning.

My sister is in labor at the moment, but parking down the hospital is hella expensive so I haven't gone yet. (She doesn't want anyone in the delivery room anyways - I think I'd be the same way). I think I may actually take the bus cause that's free and it's only on the North Side, so the bus and the car take the exact same amount of time. (Minus waiting for the bus, but it's a weekday and three buses run between North Side and Bellevue, so you usually only end up waiting 5-10 minutes.)

They had to induce her because her placenta was breaking down and the baby hasn't been getting enough food. He lost like 11 oz over the course of 6 days (and yet they wait another 4 to induce her.... Please explain how much sense this makes?) The baby was 6 lb, 1 oz two Fridays ago, and then on Thursday he was only 5 lb 6 oz. So, I hope that the baby is big enough to be able to come home in the normal amount of time... He might end up under 5 pounds at this rate... I also hope Steph is fine. I never want to give birth. Ever.

I've been doing shopping and preparing for Japan and I'm almost done. I need to stock up on my varieties of shoes (indoor, outdoor, indoor gym, etc), buy extras of every spice I use, buy more contacts, fill my BC script later this month, and buy a couple more shirts. Maybe like 1 or 2 more pairs of pants. I then need to hem all my dress pants cause I'm short and refuse to pay $10 a pair to have them pro hemmed when I have a sewing machine and a mom to help me. I also need to sell my car. Later in the month, I'll pack up my boxes to mail to Japan.

Well, I need to shower, make lunch and head down the hospital.
