[He'd been asleep. At least, he was certain he'd been asleep, sometimes it was hard to tell but he was fairly certain he'd been asleep when the dream hit him. These dreams, crushing weight and the sensation of falling, were no strangers to Charles Xavier, he'd lived with them all his life. A side effect of his mutation and the constant press of voices in his mind. Normally he ignored the dreams or simply woke himself up if they became too oppressive but tonight, tonight was different.

Tonight he couldn't wake up and as he tumbled the voices became muffled in his ears, as if his telepathy was suddenly shoved under water. It was a darkly uncomfortable sensation and he began to struggle, began to demand his mind to wake but it was wrong, it was all so wrong.]

Raven, RAVEN!

[It was instinct to call for her, instinct to shout her name but through the cotton wool around his telepathy he heard nothing but garbled, distant noises. He fought harder, slowly becoming aware of the cold. He should not be cold, he'd put a fire in the

[When Christine awoke, she knew something wasn't right. Everything that had just happened -- the darkness, the falling, the cold -- it had been too real to be a dream, hadn't it? She opened her eyes but saw nothing but blackness. And so she made to sit up. Suddenly everything shifted, as if the world was moving from under her. Her face smacked into something and she laid back, starting to panic.

Reaching up a hand, she felt the material enclosing her and... a zipper? But what could possibly have a zipper on it that was closing her in? All of a sudden she understood. She had zipped plenty of dead crew, taken before their time, into a body bag.

But she wasn't dead! Someone had made a mistake! Twisting about, the table rolled under her again, and she felt the tag tied to her toe.]

No! [She let out a screech of fear.] I'm not dead! Help! Let me out! I'm not dead!

[It had felt as though he'd be twisted, this way and then that in an instant. Unsure of what had been real and what had been nothing but a dream. But the waking world was rushing to the surface to meet him and he obliged to find out what of earth was going on. To work out what he might have been dreaming. Before his eyes opened, he was becoming aware of an odd warmth, a brightness past his eyelids and he slowly opened then. Greeted by the sudden harsh light of the lamp above

[The freezer muffled the sounds to his ears and the disorientation of waking still muffled the voices in his mind so they were all indistinguishable and utterly alien. Charles had no concept of where he was, beyond trapped and cold when he projected violently, his panic ramping up his telepathic calls.

Raven ... Raven wasn't answering him and even the warm signature he associated with her was gone from his mind. Snapped off with all the finesse of a finger by bolt cutters and he sobbed for the loss.

He wanted out needed out, threw his fist against the side of the freezer and barely felt the pain as he wrenched it, his mind focused on chanting.]

Out, OUT, OUT LETMEBLOODYWELLOUT!!

[The zipper was pulled back and Christine, tears in her eyes, came face to face with what she assumed was an alien species she had never seen before. Sniffling, she cautiously lifted a hand to look at whatever was in it. Some sort of comm device?]

Not a zombie, no. Just someone who definitely isn't dead.

[She looked him over, decked out in the same attire as she was. Before she could ask if he'd been in a body bag too, she felt an intense pressure throughout her skull, and cried out.]

Ah, my head! Is that-- I heard a voice. Did you hear a voice?

Ah, well that's good, I don't fancy turning into a zombie to be honest.

[He offered a smile until suddenly, Kurt stumbled and held his head at the yelling being mentally pushed against him. There was a telepath here, and a damn strong one at that. He winced and nodded his head slowly.]

Yeah. [He looked to the freezer where the bang came from and then back to the woman inside the bag. This, was messed up.] You wait here.

[Kurt then stumbled to the freezer, curious and cautious of what was going on. He grabbed the handle and yanked the door open, shivering at the blast of cold air. Crap! Someone had been inside! He jumped back and stared.]

Entschuldigung? Are you... [Okay? Alive?]

[When the door opened and a blast of what felt like volcanic air washed over him, Charles wasted no time in EXITING.

Sorry Kurt but you have a naked Charles Xavier practically climbing over you as he rapidly exits the freezer. Slamming onto the floor, he oofed out a breath and stumbled sideways until he fell into the corner of the wall, where he pulled his knees up to his chest and blinked balefully at ... a beautiful blonde and ... a blue man with a tail.

Staring at them for a moment, Charles' eyes went wide and then he began to laugh because this had to be ... oh God he didn't know what it was but he had to have finally lost his mind. Putting his hands up into his hair, fisting the dark strands he bent his head and in the next moment a psychic boom echoed from him.]

RAAAAAAVVVVEEEEENNNNNNN!!!!

[Christine was a bit in shock at this whole situation, but at least the three of them were all out on the open and no longer trapped. First things first, they had to get their bearings. Hoping to comfort the man from the freezer, she addressed the blue skinned man, wanting off of the rolling table so she could go to him.]

Could you help me down from--

[Suddenly her brain was assaulted again and the pain was enough to make stars explode before her eyes. She cried out, pressing a hand to her forehead.]

[He watched in surprise as he was knocked down and as the man scurried to the corner. He got up and was stunned as he began to laugh, it sounded like such a...a hard laugh. Horrible and heart breaking. He frowned sadly and turned to look at the girl, he moved closer to her, about to help her when pain burst across his vision, in his mind. So powerful!

He was brought to his knees, his teeth clenched and he tried not to cry out. Relief after the mental cry, but he had a feeling it wouldn't last long. Quickly getting to his feet and getting the girl down. It didn't take a genius to know where this was coming from.]

Please, calm down. You're...You're amongst friends. We're not going to hurt you. Please just...turn the volume down.

[He wanted to scream and just keep screaming until they brought him Raven but with each cry, the echoing silence in his head, where his sister usually resided became colder, the message more implacable.

Raven wasn't coming. She wasn't here and Charles couldn't decide if that was a blessing or a curse.

Between one breath and the next it sank in to him that he was hurting these two strangers, being singularly ungrateful when the man had helped him out of the freezer. Head still in his hands, he wanted to apologize but couldn't yet find the words but he was able to stop projecting, reeling his mind back to himself even as he became aware of the clarity of their voices in his head and his ears.

He wouldn't call it calm, not with the hysterical edge still making him want to laugh at the sheer insanity of the moment but he at least stopped lashing out psychically.]

[Once on her feet, Christine held up her gown at her collarbone, just in case it had any ideas about ripping. The pain in her mind finally stopped and she could see again.]

We've all been through the same thing here.

[She spoke in a calm, soothing voice, but stayed back from the man who had managed to psychically assault their brains.]

We just need to focus and find out where we are and who put us here, ok?

[When Kurt was finally able to recover from the assault, he watched the man worriedly, not sure there was much he was able to do. He knew that some people calmed down when they had an anchor to what was going on now. A Link to this world. But Kurt had no way of knowing how this man would react, would he retreat? Would he panic and lash out for a second time?]

I'm Kurt by the way.

[He walked over to the door and peered out of the window, his eyes narrowing slightly.]

Why would someone put three perfectly alive people in a morgue? In three separate parts, with no cause of death filled in the field?

[Charles sat quietly on the cold floor and let them talk around him. He was hard pressed not to imagine that he'd finally lost his mind, his own self awareness now lost beneath the constant wash of minds and voices through his head. That these two were merely figments of his imagination, conjured up physical forms to go with the voices in his head.

But the thing was he'd never believed himself close to madness. Oh he knew the concern was there, especially on the really bad days when he responded more to thoughts than to actual verbal inquiries but hallucinations and delusions had never been a part of his difficulties.

For the time being he stayed put on the floor, knees drawn up to his chest as he let the other two ponder their immediate predicament. ]

And I'm Christine.

[Quickly, she checked her toe tag to see that Kurt was right. There was no cause of death on hers. Still, she wrinkled her nose at the rest.]

Someone or a group know our names, our weight and height, age... They definitely brought us here for some purpose, though I'm not sure I want to stick around to find out what that is.

[He turned back to the group and tapped his chin as he looked between them.]

We have to find a way out of here. I don't think this is the best place to stay and try figure things out in.

Whether it's a group, or not, we'll find out eventually.

[He walked closer to the man and crouched down near to him, keeping an escape route open for him if he decided to run again. Kurt reached out and gently touched the man on his shoulder.]

Can you tell us your name?

[He kept his voice calming and tried to do the same to all his thoughts.]
