Grand Opening First Event
Maybe you fell asleep, maybe you were knocked out. Maybe you were in the middle of a fight, maybe you don't even remember what you were doing at all. But regardless, you remember the darkness. It's crushing, all-encompassing. It fills your lungs and presses it's weight down on your shoulders, suffocating, overwhelming. It's so dark you can't tell if your eyes are opened or closed- you can't move. Can't breath.
And then...
It's the sensation of falling, the ground falling away from beneath your feet in the darkness. Vertigo overwhelms, twists in your gut and offsets your sense of direction. Are you up? Down? All you know is that wind is rushing in your ears. You're falling, fast.
The wind is knocked out of you when you come to, pressure on your chest, in your ears. If you're one of the lucky ones, there's a bright light baring down on you, warm on your face. The rest of the room is cold, so cold... and there is a smell of stale decay. Or maybe you wake, a zipper lingering in your vision, the catch on the outside of the bag. You'll have to worm your way out; try not to wriggle too much, you wouldn't want the gurney you're on rolling away. But for the unluckiest... where you wake it is dark, and very, very cold. Boxed in, unable to move, unable to see even your hand directly in front of your nose through the dense shadow. Trapped, not even enough room to lift your arms. You can't get out on your own, that much is clear very quickly if you struggle. Maybe if you're lucky, there will be someone close by to help you out...
Assuming the three of you can manage to work together, find some humanity in you to assist those in awkward predicaments, and get over the embarrassing new dunk into nudity, you’ll find the morgue exits out into a long hallway - glowing florescent lights giving a too bright, slightly green sickly hue to the bleached white walls and sterile white tiles. At the end, an elevator. If you can manage to convince any pre-twentieth century companions to board, you’ll be met with a dimly flickering light indicative of a bulb on the verge of going out, clinging to the filament’s last shred of life. Dull, monotonous elevator music accompanies the soft whir of cables and pulleys working as you’re brought to the ground floor of Abax Memorial Hospital. From here, a world awaits you. A dead, silent and dark world.

Welcome to Abax. There's a whole hospital at your disposal. Perhaps if you're lucky, you'll find some clothing nearby and something vaguely resembling edible, though hopefully you brought your Boy Scouts talents with you for campfire-starting as nothing that would produce heat within the city works. If not, well... there's a whole metropolis waiting outside, empty and unclaimed at your fingertips.

As you all know you have been divided up into groups. Each group has a subcomment to this post, and beneath that sub-comment is where you are able to thread for the duration of this event! Keep in mind that it can be assumed that entrances were staggered in such a way that it is unlikely one group will run into another. Some of you will be waking up on an autopsy table, other's in body bags, and last (and unluckiest) in the morgue freezer. Those in the freezer are closed in, with no way to roll themselves out without help. We hope you're not against shouting and hollering, and hopefully you'll find some pity from other's, otherwise you could be in there for a long, long while, though you are able to call for help with your cell phones.
You do not have to wait to finish your threads before posting to the Abax RPG comm, as events are optional, though we do encourage them!
