Viernes 1 de Mayo de 2009, empieza la FedCon...
Hasta las 14:00 no empezaba el primer panel de Richard Hatch así que teníamos una mañana por delante para deleitarnos entre tanto merchandising, dos salas repletas de millones de cosas sobre todo de Star Trek y de Star Wars pero tambíen de muchísimas otras series, Battlestar Galactica a la cabeza, tenían los uniformes de Galactica, replicas de la petaca de Tigh y de los documentos oficiales del Galactica, que eran increibles todo hay que decirlo, el juego de mesa, los muñecos, ahí cayó un cylon para mi, siempre me lo he querido comprar, esperando como estoy a que salgan las figuras de Adama y Roslin...
Cayó también la camiseta de Grettings from Caprica City, porque la del logotipo solo la tenían en talla grande, el la SFBall, cuando fuimos a ver a Mary, nos pasó lo mismo, además el hombre se acordaba de nosotras y de que le compré una camiseta de Spock para mi madre... Si es que toda esta gente es majísima, y la verdad es que por mi me lo hubiera comprado todo, absolutamente todo, que maravilla de fotos que tenían de todo, fimadas y sin firmar, algunas verdaderas joyas, como una de Heath Ledger de Joker firmada que rondaba los 500 €, o de Dark Vader otros tantos iguales...
Al llegar al salón de actos descubrimos en que posición estaba nuestra fila, en el pase tenías asignada la fila donde sentarte, la nuestra era la 26, ¿adivinad? si, la última no, pero la penúltima si, así se veía el escenario...
Richard Hatch es un pesado, lo siento tengo que decirlo, nos puso el video de su reinvención de Galactica de hace más de 12 años, en plan mirad si esto ya lo quise hacer yo antes que Moore, pero yo no podía más que reir y reir...
Después salimos a tomar algo, a fumar, a volver al merchandising, yo es que me volvía loca en esas dos salas, y volvimos para ver un poco de Richard Arnold que es como el embajador de Universal para Star Trek en el mundo, en la SFBall también estaba, y habló sobre Star Trek, luego volvimos a salir a darnos otro voltio por el Maritim, y también para comer al solecito de Bonn, volvimos a entrar para ver terminar un FanFilm, si un FanFilm de Star Trek, STAR TREK: TO THE RES-Q, que bueno tampoco es que nos enteraramos de mucho, poco a poco la sala se iba llenando y entendimos que querer ponernos más cerca sería tarea ardua complicada, así que allí nos quedamos, mientras salía el Master Of Ceremonies para darnos la bienvenida a todos a la FedCon 18, habló de muchas cosas, dijo que allí se encontraban gente de no se cuantos paises, y empezó a nombrarlos a todos, que si Suiza, que si Holanda, que si tal y va el tio y no dice España, mientras nosotras nos desgaítabamos gritando ¡¡¡Spain!!!! ¡¡¡Spain!!! a lo que entonces se acerca un chico con una camiseta de Galactica y nos dice "Hola, ¿De dónde sois?"
Ese era Pablo vicepresidente del club star trek sevilla (CSTSE), no eramos los únicos españoles mira tu por donde... Pablo se encarga de la sección de series en un programa de radio sobre cine, series,anime y demás cosas interesantes llamado FREAKTOWN podeis escuchar los postcast aquí...
Perdonadme pero no recuerdo en que orden fue, si esto que voy a contar fue antes o despues de lo de los paises, pero dice el presentador, "Quiero que todo el mundo me enseñe su movil, todo el mundo con su movil en alto por favor" y ahí teneis a 2000 personas con el movil levantado, "Ahora quiero que lo apageis" las puertas se cerraron y nos adviertió "tenemos cámaras nocturnas que os estarán vigilando, todas las cámaras apagadas porque vamos a ver 20 y tantos minutos inéditos de Star Trek" se estrena hoy, pero yo ya he visto un trocete, eso si en inglés subtitulada en alemán... ;D Todos los Trekis como locos, como podeis suponer.
La cuestión es que empieza el festival de verdad cuando sale el presentador y empieza a nombrar uno a uno a todos los guests, cada uno toma el micrófono por unos segundos y da la bienvenida y las gracias y esas cosas... Pasan Christopher Judge, Nana Visitor, y Connor Trinner y un sinfín más de nombres que me he aprendido pero no se quien son ;P y entonces es cuando el presentador dice "Y ahora desde Battlestar Galactica... Mark Sheppard, Richard Hatch, James Callis y Michael Hogan" y ahí que salen los cautro, mientras nosotras nos volviamos locas... Michael Hogan lo primero que hizo fue reirse en plan Tigh y luego gritar SO SAY WE ALL... y entonces volvió a salir el presentador para anunciar a EDWARD JAMES OLMOS, la música de Galactica empieza a sonar mietras aparece en el escenario, la gente, sobre todo nosotras, completamente locas gritando y aplaudiendo, intenta hablar pero la gente vuelve a gritar más fuerte, entonces cuando la gente parece calmarse se acerca el micrófono y dice:
"Es un honor y placer estar con todos vosotros, para los que se que me están entendiendo ahorita, este momento es para ustedes"
Después hablo en alemán y terminó en inglés dando las gracias y demás, ¿Sabeís lo que se siente cuando Edward James Olmos habla en español delante de 2000 personas solo para nosotras? Porque a los demás españoles los conoció después, así que era only for us.
No se puede explicar con palabras, fue un detallazo de los grandes, agradecernos el estar allí por él, Edward me llegaste al corazón.
Tras esto apareció Nichelle Nichols, Uhura en Star Trek: TOS (the original series) y el auditorio se puso en pie para esa mujer que con 77 años hay que ver que bien está, es guapísima.
La Opening había llegado a su fin y todavía quedaba el panel de Edward James Olmos, la gente empezó a abandonar la sala, mientras nosotras no entendiamos por qué se iba la gente si el que iba a hablar era Edward, pero mejo, porque nos colocamos en 3ª fila para poder escucharlo, como siempre estuvo genial, intento acordarme de algo que dijera pero yo solo podía pensar en que había hablado en español...
