The Time of Angels again

I was watching The Time of Angels, and there's a bit where Bishop Octavian says they're going to go in and neutralise the Angel. I'm wondering exactly how he's planning to do that, given he doesn't seem to have a plan for doing so later in the episode. Was he going to park a mirror in front of it or something?

We don't still need to use spoilers for these episodes, right?
