oh my god i'm back!
yeah, so i know the last time i posted was september 20th. and i know you all missed me very much. and you would pray to god that i would come back and update. and you would cry yourselves to sleep because of it.
well stop crying! i am here!
so here's what's new:
1. i joined a sorority. i am a pledge at gamma phi beta, and i love it. very time consuming, but totally worth it.
2. i got a car. my biggest life-long goal has finally been fulfilled!! i am the proud owner of a brand spankin new white hyundai elantra. it's great because i'm not stuck on campus anymore, i can just drive whereever i want, whenever i want to!
3. i love college. for the first few weeks i was kinda distraught over the fact that san diego didn't quite feel like home yet, but now i do call it home. cypress... eh, not so much my home anymore. it's kind of wierd i'm no longer attatched to a place that i've lived in all my life. when i visit cypress every so often, i don't really feel like it's home. i see people that i went to high school with and still live at home now, and i feel sorry for them. i can't imagine still living in cypress like they are... if i was still there, i think i would eventually explode from the lack of freedom. i have no regrets about coming here.
4. i survived my first week of midterms. my classes so far have been super easy, but during midterms week, i was busy like no other. so many tests, papers, projects, speeches, assignments, all assigned within the same week. but i got it all done. i have found that college is wonderful because i can be a slacker and not feel bad about it. in high school i never really did my homework and would study last minute for tests. in college, i never really get assigned homework and i don't find out about tests until 2 days before, so i have no choice but to study last-minute. it works out quite well.
5. i want to murder my parents. (not really). yes, i know that they're my parents and all, but any contact i have with them at all is negative. it's kind of sad, really. they think that they still need to track me down or control my every move. they just don't get that i'm in college now and i can make my own decisions.
6. i went to halloween haunt. my roommate laura, emma (laura's friend from home), justin and i went to knott's scary farm and had soooo much fun.

6. i love my boyfriend. today is our ten month anniversary, and things between justin and i are just wonderful. the whole long-distance thing that everyone swore would never work out is working just fine. it helps a lot that i have a car now, but even when i'm not driving 100 miles to redlands to see him, we call each other and write letters and emails all the time, so it never seems like we're so far from each other. it took a while at first to get used to not seeing him everyday, but it's good because we can have our own separate lives too. and then the time that we do spend together is so much more special.
7. i love my boyfriend enough to skip 2 days of school. that's right, this past weekend i went to redlands to be with justin for halloween. i was there from friday until tuesday.

friday night, justin, shelley, george and i went to a "frat party." oh god, redlands frat parties soooo do not compare to the ones here. it was pretty lame. although it was fun dressing up for it.
i was a 20's gangster girl. (this was taken in my dorm room). i used a dress that my aunt's had since the 70s, which was cool because all i had to buy was a hat, fishnets, a garter and a cigarette holder.
justin was my gangsta boyfriend.
this party sucks. all they had was beer, and we all think that beer tastes like piss, so basically we were the only sober people at the party.
we wish we were drunk.
everyone was totally obsessed with my telescopic cigarette holder thing. especially drunk girls...

on saturday, the four of us went to clairemont for better parties. they were much, MUCH better! and since that school is for super smart people, everyone there got really creative about halloween. the night began at a "meat party." there were these huge barbeque grills in the middle of the quad of one of the harvey mudd dorms where people were cooking all sorts of meat, from ostritch to rabbit. i tried an alligator-meat taco. it was absolutely disgusting. alligator is so chewy and... gross. never again.
after the meat party, we all got ready for halloween parties. clairemont is so cool because the school practically gives its students alcohol. there was a "trick or drink" party at one of the dorm halls, where each dorm room gave out samples of random alcohol mixtures... like frappacino and alcohol or milk and alcohol. it was SOOOO much fun, especially getting justin drunk for his first-ish time haha

this is ridiculous!
after the party, we went to another party at pamona. it was just as fun. after that, we all crashed on the floor of one of shelley's friend's dorm room.
here's the trick or drink aftermath the next morning.
the next two days were kinda boring for me because i had nothing to do while justin had classes and homework, but i didn't mind so much. as long as i was there with him... that's all that mattered. i watched his soccer game, and he scored. my sexy soccer-playing stud :)

i left a little earlier than planned, because justin was kinda busy tuesday afternoon and evening so i didn't want to bother him anymore. it was such a fun weekend though, definitely a halloween to remember.
8. i did NOT vote. ...........i am not old enough. i turn 18 in 2 weeks.
